These earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are made from Lauma which grows in the rainforest. For ease of harvesting, many have planted them near their homes.
The Lauma is picked green, washed and cut to length and size, and placed in the sun, usually for about four days to dry.
The black strands are washed and buried underneath black muddy soil for some time and then washed and dried. This process dyes the strands black.
The strands are then interwoven by hand into cute, mini baskets.
